Climate Champions Science Afterschool Program

Woodbury Middle School • 12‑Week Program

Climate Champions is a hands‑on, science‑forward afterschool program designed to help students understand climate change, build real applied science skills, and connect deeply with their school forest and campus. Over 12 weeks, participants explore environmental science through engaging activities that strengthen teamwork, problem‑solving, and self‑confidence — all in a fun, supportive setting.

Program Goals

  • Build foundational climate science knowledge
  • Develop applied scientific skills through fieldwork and experiments
  • Strengthen teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving
  • Foster confidence through meaningful outdoor learning
  • Encourage stewardship of the school’s forest and natural spaces

Program Details

Meeting bi-weekly on Wednesday’s starting OCT 7 2026 –  APRIL 7 2027  |  1- 3 PM  |  ROOM 101 @ WMS | To enroll, please complete the Climate Champions Form.

Admissions are rolling, but we strongly encourage full participation in the 12‑week program to ensure the best experience for your child.

Parent Communication

A welcome email will be sent to all enrolled families one week before the program begins.
